Waterloo Road Series 11

Waterloo Road Series 11 was the first commission for Rope Ladder Fiction, and enabled us to build a community of creatives, actors, writers, directors and a crew passionate about film making in Greater Manchester. Returning to BBC One and iPlayer after a six year absence, the show was reborn and we meet the class of 2023 alongside some familiar faces, bringing with them brand new dramas. Across the term, Waterloo Road’s teachers and parents are going to have to learn on their feet as they try to navigate the ever-changing social landscape – from teen homelessness to the cost of living, being LGBTQ+, racism, sexism, mental health and everything else facing young teens today. Riots, scandals, fractured families and challenging kids.
