Rope Ladder Fiction was founded in 2021 by Cameron Roach, who has a long track record of producing television drama for UK Broadcasters and International Streamers. Cameron leads a team that are passionate about stroytelling, and enabling others to tell stories. The company has a firm emphasis on next generation talent and innovative development.

Cameron worked for Sky Drama from 2013 through to 2021, where he was latterly Director of Drama, delivering a series of commercial and critical hits. Key titles for Sky include Tin Star, Britannia, Riviera, A Discovery of Witches, Wolfe, I Hate Suzie, The Five, The Third Day, Jamestown, Gangs of London, Save Me and Catherine the Great.

Prior to working for Sky, Cameron served as Series Producer and Executive Producer on a number of popular and critically acclaimed shows for a variety of channels and networks. Key titles include Life on Mars, Silk, Young James Herriot, Waterloo Road, Bad Girls, Footballers Wives, Moses Jones and Casualty.

Cameron works closely with Lindsay Williams (Series Producer, Waterloo Road), Adam Leatherland (Senior Producer, Waterloo Road), as well as Hannah Lee (Head of Development, Rope Ladder Fiction), Victoria Wharton (Executive Producer, Rope Ladder Fiction Development) and Yasmin Ali (Development Editor, Rope Ladder Fiction). The Rope Ladder Fiction team work closely with the wider editorial team on Waterloo Road and work with a variety of consultant producers and freelance facilitators, especially on their outreach projects.
